Christmas Productions
Three productions, three different ways to look forward to Christmas—through comedy, adventure, and stories that captivate children and adults alike.
LAG teatro’s productions are designed for preschools, elementary schools, libraries, and families. Each has its own story and theatrical language, but all share the performers’ sense of play, a close connection with the audience, and the joy of waiting for Christmas together.
Babbo Natale ti prendo!
Matteo does not want a present—he wants to meet Santa Claus. Every Christmas Eve since he was four, he has waited up for Santa, but every year something unexpected gets in the way. Now eight years old, he is determined not to let anything stop him: not the dark, not the cats, not even his most fearsome opponent, Grande Sonno—the Great Sleep.
A funny and engaging theatrical story that recaptures the wonder, anticipation, and magic of Christmas through children’s eyes.
Babbo Natale ti riprendo!
Martina is four years old, curious and stubborn, with a remarkable memory. Her father, however, has lost her letter to Santa and cannot remember what she asked for. It is Christmas Eve, the stores are about to close, and everyone in town is racing to find one last gift. Will he manage to find the right one?
After nearly three hundred performances of Babbo Natale ti prendo!, Matteo and his family return, together with little Martina—a girl who can not only meet Santa Claus but also drive him crazy.
Il Natale dello Spazzacamino
On Christmas night, a chimney sweep watches the city’s alleyways from above. Three penniless, bumbling thieves plan a heist that could change their lives, only to find themselves in a pastry shop brimming with sweets, enticing aromas, and wonders.
Loosely inspired by a story by Italo Calvino, this comic and poetic production takes us through a bygone Italy and reminds us that not everything that makes us happy can be bought.
