The Production
Non ti scordar di me explores Alzheimer’s disease through Luca’s eyes and his relationship with Grandma Paola, the woman who raised him. It is not an account of an illness, but a journey through memory and the bonds that endure.
Through moments of disarming humor and poetic stillness, small daily rituals—the ever-present sandals, the remote control that somehow ended up in the freezer, afternoon snacks, a voice that still calls him “Biondo”—become fragments of a bond that survives even as memory fades.
Moving from everyday life to the myth of Orpheus, Luca tries to hold on not so much to the facts as to the light of the person who loved him.
Why This Production
To speak about Alzheimer’s without reducing it to a story about illness.
Non ti scordar di me begins with an intimate personal experience and opens it up to something that concerns us all: the fear of oblivion, family rituals, and the gestures that remain when memory grows fragile.
Humor and poetry allow us to enter a complex subject without trivializing it or turning it into “theater of suffering.”
Private memory thus becomes a shared experience.
